Our Team's Story

Patti has an extensive résumé, with a career largely focused on CPA services. After recently retiring, she quickly discovered a passion for a new hobby—houseplants (no influence from Jess, surely). Since then, Patti has devoted much of her time to nurturing her plants and prioritizing self-care, realizing that the two naturally go hand in hand. This realization led to the creation of Shared Roots Plant Bar, a venture that now captures her time, passion, and home square footage.

Jess has always had a passion for houseplants, which began just before the 2020 pandemic and quickly grew into an obsession by collecting them. What started as a few plants soon transformed her home into a thriving jungle. During this time, Jess gained extensive knowledge of many varieties of houseplants. When Patti caught the green-thumb bug, Jess knew there was no better choice than to partner with her mother and share their passion with the community.
